SOMETIMES YOU JUST DON’T FEEL LIKE READING

These mice were 3 weeks old, and trained at an early age to be comfortable with the investigator’s gloved hand.
Tissue paper is an excellent enrichment device, frequently used by mice for nest building. It’s also inexpensive and seems to be a favorite.

Mice drink about 5 mL per day of water (about a teaspoon).
Mice are really smart, and can be trained to respond to rewards.
Of all the enrichment activities, running is their favorite. They can run 10 miles a night!
