Wouldn’t it be great if getting cancer were like coming down with measles? Not only would our immune system wipe out the cancer, but it would also remember it and not let it ever come back. Presently, we have several mice who had cancer, were treated, and are still cancer-free. Furthermore, when these special mice were injected repeatedly with the same cancer cells, the cancer just won’t grow. We are trying to dissect out the mechanism by which this amazing phenomenon works. By the way, the cancers were treated without any drugs or radiation.
